Jürgen Hornung was born on May 26, 1966 in Welzheim. After training as an electrician and subsequently working for various energy technology companies, he began studying supply engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Esslingen a.N. in 1992. He successfully completed his degree in engineering in 1996. During his studies, he worked as a trainee in architectural and engineering offices. As a project engineer at a well-known engineering company, Mr. Hornung gained the necessary professional experience for the holistic handling of new construction and refurbishment projects for technical building equipment. As the responsible team leader, he successfully managed numerous projects in the areas of school and administrative buildings, industrial and production facilities, e.g. pharmaceutical and clean room buildings, as well as municipal and urban construction projects for over 17 years. Mr. Hornung moved to Stuttgart in 2011 as Managing Director of the new fc.ingenieure branch.
